What's Fermenting

Currently we have our flagship Rapscallion Honey in its final stages of fermentation. In fact, this beer will be kegged next Tuesday and will be at your local watering holes over the next few weeks.

The Rapscallion Honey is an Extra Pale Ale that is brewed with locally grown honey. We shoot for around 4.8% ABV with 18 IBU's. The current batch came in at 4.5% due to the colder weather causing the fermenter to cool faster than expected. We use Nugget as our bittering hop and Cascade as our aroma hops.

Hey, can we get a sample of that down here at the Virginia Brewing Company? We didn't get to taste that one one when we were up there last time. I think a case would do.

By the way, it looks like you guys are doing a great job up there. Congrats and keep up the fine brewing!
